Springtime in Winchester

Spring is finally upon us and so the family decided to take a walk through beautiful, historic Winchester to enjoy the sunshine, and each other. Steve and Ash were the tour guides, Chase the photographer. We stopped in the town for lunch on the cathedral grounds, took lovely photos and had a wonderful day in the beautiful weather. So blessed to live in a green and pleasant land!

Happy Birthday to ME!

The years have passed, the time has come.. get your money out.. I'M 21!!

I've never been a big one for birthdays but I always end up being truly spoilt when the day comes. This year I asked my family to come out with me for some food and some bowling the night before, a monday, as our family night. It was sooo much fun! The food was yummy, the bowling was so fun, even if I did get the lowest score.. and me and Ash had some fun with crazy moves, on the floor.. through our legs.. under the knees.. infact I got a strike with my under the legs shot!!

On the big day, mum treated me to lunch with a view, then we did a bit of wedding shopping.. and finished with a trip to the theatre to see Phantom of the Opera with my cousin Jenni. Its always been my favourite musical and my cousin treated me to tickets for my birthday. It was FANTASTIC!!! I loved every moment. It was a perfect day, and I got very very spoilt. Love my life!

Some birthday surprises from my fiance across the pond.

In Loving Memory

This week I had the privilege to be in attendance at 2 funerals, to celebrate the lives of two men I admired very much.

The first was Les, the husband of my childhood piano teacher, a dear member of our ward and a friend to all who knew him. He found the love of his life late in his years and spent every day showing her how much she meant to him. He was a fine example of changing your life for the better, and he will be missed greatly by those close to him.

The second was a client of mine, I was able to visit with David almost daily to help him with anything he needed, which was never very much, but it was a privilege to know him for the little time I did and i'm excited to see him again in the next life and hear the stories he had yet to tell me. David was confined to a wheelchair but I never heard him complain, it was a joy to work with him.

Im so grateful for the knowledge that I have of God's Plan of Salvation, and the comfort it brings to know that this life is not the end, that we are only parted for a time before we meet again to spend the eternities together. Thank heavens for that, and thanks heavens for these beautiful people who make life so worth being a part of.
Until we meet again.
