Lyme Regis

As per Sunday afternoon tradition, we ventured out on an afternoon of photos, sunshine, sea and scenery to the beautiful town of Lyme Regis. What a beautiful country we live in to be able to drive for just an hour to get somewhere so gorgeous! Chase was in full photo action mode.. and our adventure up the creek (which i'm actually sure was illegal to walk up) turned into a proper photo shoot! There was a woman stood on the bridge above us who said to her little one "Look, that girl is a model, and that man is going to put her photos in a magazine.." check us out!
The church was closed.. which was disappointing.. and i got pooped on by a pigeon.. which was even more disappointing.. but overall a lovely little day trip :)

Happy Birthday Steve!

This post is very very late.. but for my big brothers birthday this year, we went zorbing! We chose the hydro-zorbing.. which involves being in a big inflatable ball with another person, and alot of water.. and then being rolled down a very large hill.. crazy! I went in with my brother Paul, and Steve went in with his wife Ash. It was so much fun! And Paul treated the family to lunch in the local village after.

Beautiful Abbotsbury

This weekend the YSA decided to take a daytrip to Abbotsbury, a little village on the other side of Weymouth which is where a few of them lived. It came highly recommended by Bevan, and it did NOT disappoint! Me and my dad have a tradition of finding old churches with great acoustics and singing hymns acapella. I tried this with them.. and although at first some of them thought it was 'gay' they got into it and were soon making requests. Singing in places like that, where your voice literally carries to the heavens is such a wonderful way to spend a sunday. Chase brought his camera, which is lucky.. because the scenery was breathtaking. I am so lucky to be in this little painting we call England! We ended the day at Lydias with a double FHE. I love my friends :)

Happy Birthday Lydia!

So this past week Lydia turned *ahem* a year older, so we celebrated in traditional style.. onesies and FUN! :) We started with games with the missionaries.. then we headed to the park, picked up some dvds.. got some midnight take-out and of course, this was all done in fashionable style. I would like to add.. Charlotte and Andy both bought onesies this week.. it's infectious ;)

3 of our group have beautiful little children who are regulars to our antics, Livvy was having a bit of a paddy, and so I demonstrated my superhero powers.. and the tears were gone! I absoloutely love this little girl. I once sang her the tigger song so vigorously I broke her bed.. Ha! Not sure that was what my dad was expecting when he told me to pass on my childhood songs!
